Kim Mills • Lia Winerman • and President Thelma Bryant of the APA

Dear President Thelma Bryant, Kim Mills and Executive Producer Lea Winerman,

I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to respectfully request that the American Psychological Association consider inviting Dr. Craig Childress to participate in an upcoming Podcast of Speaking of Psychology.  As I am sure you are well aware child abuse and its impact on children's mental health is an important issue.

Dr. Craig Childress has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to advocating for the well-being of children who are victims of abuse and in 2018 personally delivered a petition with over 20,000 signatures, underscoring the urgency and significance of the concerns he addresses. This remarkable show of support from the public highlights the widespread recognition of the critical nature of this issue.

Dr. Childress's expertise in the field of child psychology, specifically in the context of child psychological abuse and attachment-based delusional pathology, makes him an invaluable resource for any discussion or initiative aimed at protecting and supporting vulnerable children.
His contributions could greatly benefit the American Psychological Association's ongoing efforts to address child abuse and its effects on children's mental health.

The special population of children who are subjected to this psychological abuse deserve our utmost attention and dedicated efforts. By involving Dr. Childress, we can tap into his wealth of knowledge and experience, ultimately working toward more effective strategies for prevention, intervention, and support for these children.

I believe that Dr. Childress's insights and expertise would be a valuable addition to your podcast. His presence and contributions could further advance the APA's mission to promote the welfare of children and families.

I kindly request that you consider extending an invitation to Dr. Craig Childress to participate on the Speaking of Psychology podcast within the American Psychological Association. I am confident that his involvement would be a significant step towards addressing the critical issues faced by the children in these circumstances.

Thank you for your attention to this matter, and I look forward to any positive developments regarding this request. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you require any additional information or if there are further steps I can take to facilitate this request.
Please let me know that you have received this email and when to expect Dr. Childress on.

    Sincerely,

Please note: I personally will keep track of all forms filed out and if people ask in the email to file ethics violations I will.

Kindly take note that the American Psychological Association (APA) has received numerous notifications regarding a special population of children and parents dealing with child abuse and domestic violence.
Notably, on June 14th, 2018, the APA addressed a letter to the President of the United States, highlighting concerns related to the separation of children from their parents and the potentially lasting harm it can inflict including decades of experience, empirical data, and suicide.

Regrettably, despite these concerns being brought to their attention on multiple occasions, the APA has chosen not to acknowledge or respond to the pressing issue concerning this particular demographic of children and parents. This ongoing lack of recognition and engagement has perpetuated the harm inflicted upon these children and parents, according to the APA's own writings.

It is imperative to emphasize that we will remain steadfast in our commitment to protecting these vulnerable children and parents, within the boundaries of the law.

Thank you so much for your time.
